8.  Real estate as an investment, such as a rental property, is a good, safe place to park some cash

9.  People want to buy down and reduce their monthly budgets.

10. People die and their estates need to be settled

I know #10 isn't going to be most people's favorite choice, but it will eventually happen to us all.  I wanted to give some props to the Phillies, who about a month ago, I wrote off and have proved me wrong, which I am very happy about.  I am looking forward to game one on Thursday evening.  Also, with the drop in the stock market, it looks like interest rates could be on their way down even more.
